Porters Tavern
Part of a full block renovation in 2002, New City Worked with SKS Properties and the Urban Food group to create Porter’s Tavern, a 5000 sf upscale pub in space which had formerly housed the Rathskellar, a Hillsborough Street staple for 25 years. The renovation included connection of two separate buildings to offer a bar and entry area, re-construction of the kitchen from the ground up, and creation of an innovative indoor-outdoor seating area at the front of the restaurant. Porters is still going strong and has recently added a private dining room in an adjacent space, called “Intermezzo”, with New City’s design help.
